Aren’t white people a numerical minority globally? Have they not oppressed and ruined countries even though they were a numerical minority? Weren’t they a minority when they invaded the US? I would suggest that power, beyond strength in numbers, is always a factor. A big one. Quoting James Baldwin and others — Race is a political reality. It isn’t a skin color so much. Whiteness as a political category, separate from numbers, is still inherently wrong. It is a lie. And more often than not, white is synonymous with supremacy. A redundancy in reality. So, this is much more than the mindset of majorities or the way majorities react. There is some of that, sure. But White people uniquely invented race and racism. Therefore this is still about whiteness.
