As you know, I disagree. But I will respond. I am calling for a rewrite of laws and freedoms to include a new constitution. Our constitution is part of the problem. Every law, policy, and right should be examined to determine whether it is clearly antiracist. To your points, freedoms are granted by laws are they not? Therefore, we have freedoms (and laws) that are racist or not-racist and they could be antiracist. Even by your definition of freedom, we have freedoms with restraint, limitations, and qualifications. Are they no longer freedoms then? Plus, we have laws that are anti. We have freedoms that are anti. It depends on how you see them. Finally, if a law, or freedom, allows the expression, spreading, or act of racism by definition it is not antiracist. That should be obvious. I say, it should be antiracist. It’s that simple. Let it ring.
