And how apologies transform narratives? And the benefits to apologies? Do you not think Black people living today lost anything from slavery? Are you aware of wealth gaps? Generational trauma? The fact that my dad had to pick strawberries over school? The murder and spying on our leaders? Finally, I suggest you read my piece on reparations cited in this story — Black America needs more than dead presidents.
