First, as I’ve said it is a waste of my time to go back and forth with someone who disagrees and only comes by to share their disagreement. I read and write on Medium. There is a shit ton of articles that I completely disagree and sometimes get tricked into reading. I keep it moving. There’s no need to share my random disagreement. So that’s the policy I operate by here too. Because opinions aren’t going to change, and you are really only sharing your opinion to satisfy yourself. And I didn’t say a damned thing about isolation or separation. None. Intellectual theft can be a form of cultural appropriation. Your issue is control. You don’t want to respect boundaries and you think the world is yours. If we say no and we have an issue with it — listen! And follow. Stop talking! We don’t need your explanations or lessons. And, between the two of us, you are more likely to be the colonialist. And, once again, if you took the time to freaking read instead of wasting my time you’d note that the piece is about receipts. Say where you got it from and give something back. Exchange. Not take and profit. There’s a difference. And I’m not impressed by your impressions about how the world would be without cultural appropriation. There’s been enough damage. Acknowledge that. I hope you’ve had enough because I’m working here.
