Hi, Daphne, I think America is too free with free speech primarily because straight, white, Christian men aren’t impacted by hateful speech. In some ways it is a privilege to say sticks and stones will never hurt me. Eleanor Roosevelt’s quote is nice but I hear some privilege. Anger is an appropriate response. I don’t know what Ms. Rose was thinking. It doesn’t matter really. It was wrong and unacceptable. I won’t allow it in my presence. Thanks reading and your response.
