Hi, Eric. I don’t have an issue drawing conclusions from Smollett’s story. I didn’t have it with Masod and Chipotle. I didn’t have it with Andrew Johnson, the wrestler with dreadlocks, and I didn’t have an issue drawing conclusions with Covington High School. I grew up in a tradition of parables and Bible stories many of which are questionable. Haha. Even so, I cut to the point and the message in the story even if it is questionable or untrue. That’s what people have always done. Take action. Live the message and the meaning. And in all the stories I cited above the themes are recurring. They point to unresolved issues in America. So, in other words, even if Smollett lied, it was a dramatization of what has happened, what is happening, and will happen again if we don’t focus on those issues. That’s where I hope the focus goes — to solving the issues.
