Hi Jacob, as you know, the “all citizens” didn’t include people who look like me or women. I’m curious if you can write more about the part I highlighted. I got a little lost after the part about citizens and the British Empire/slaveholdings/its citizens.

I get that the early leaders of this country were intimidated and scared of the British. And they wanted to ensure a government like that wouldn’t rule indefinitely. Is that what you mean? I still see white supremacy.
