Hi, Janis, I can’t speak to Canada. I have certainly read a few pieces by people of color who have had a hard time in Canada. I have also read a few articles and reports that show disparities by race in Canada particularly with police brutality. Not good. I agree with you. I would distinguish clearly and strongly what I mean by whiteness. That is the social construct of superiority that is still operational. That must be rejected, condemned, repurposed, etc. Blackness rejects inferiority. Whiteness rejects superiority. That’s how we get humanity.
