Hi John, that film is great. I encouraged the white supremacist from this post to watch the film. I’ve thought about writing a story on the film. It shows what social science confirms about intergroup contact, friendship, and relationship. It was harder for those extremists to wish ill on the filmmaker as they got to know her. However, often, these supremacists allow for exceptions to their rules. I think these groups are cult-like. They rationalize. Don’t care about the causes. Their theories support their comfort, fears, and ego. And for this high up in these groups, there’s so much fame/money/power that makes it harder for them to change. Thanks for reading and your response.
