Hi, John, well in this case, I side with what the governor of Puerto Rico. I think it is a best practice to listen to those with less power, and while the governor is just one voice from Puerto Rico, he is the main representative. I disagree about the improvements from colonization. Improvements are subjective and they don’t necessarily enhance the quality of life in every respect. Some say white supremacy from the past made improvements. Certainly, there were positives, but they aren’t enough to justify the dehumanization. We can agree the federal government has failed and continues to fail Puerto Rico. That effort remains bipartisan, sadly.
