Hi K.C., good practical tips here. I consider my stories done when I’ve put them through my process of drafting and editing. For me that’s:
- A first draft and research using my tablet
- Further editing by computer, using various software checks for spelling, grammar, and other standards.
- Listen to the text. I playback the text as a final check.
- Photo selection and editing.
Like others have said, if I spot something after publishing, which I usually do, I make an update.
If I think of this like food, I want to make sure the content is presentable and digestible. The tweaks, I consider spices. 😀.
I also use the comments to share and expand on what I can’t fit into the posts, like the little tweaks and spices.
