Hi, Kirsten! Thanks for your kind message. Recently, I’ve been thinking about these articles too in light of the current events. Here’s an update on me: At the end of last year, I decided to use Medium primarily as a place to pitch stories to Medium’s editors for features in Medium’s publications. That strategy seems to make the most sense for me. Unfortunately, because that strategy depends on the acceptance and approval of editors, that means I won’t publish as frequently on Medium. But that change has allowed me to focus on a separate newsletter with the essays I used to publish on Medium. The newsletter is called “On Equal Terms.” I publish it on Substack. And this year, I plan to launch a second newsletter with book recommendations; I’ve been gathering emails for that newsletter at the end of my recent essays on Medium. My goal is to have Medium for big stories and my two newsletters for essays and book recommendations. The On Equal Terms newsletter really has the content I usually publish on Medium, and I try to publish something once a week in that newsletter. Most of the content is free and open to the public. It’s delivered by email and it’s also available online. I never announced this change on Medium because I don’t usually talk about the business side of things. So, your response gives me an opportunity to share this information. Here’s a link to the newsletter, if you’re interested, I published something today about impeachment: https://onequalterms.substack.com/. I still read and respond here on Medium, so I look forward to reading your articles.
