Hi, Sandi, somehow I missed this message. I have two responses. One I feel like I could say ditto and welcome to my world to much of your response. Secondly, when I reference white people I generally speak in reference to polls and studies. This is no different than what pollsters, academics, and members of the media do. It is data. It is the aggregate. It is not personal. Much like white privilege. It is there, all white people have it to varying degrees relative to people of color. But where I think people get hung up on is the personal rather than general populations. So, in short, it is white privilege, not John privilege, if that makes sense. So, my characterizations of white people are not personal to any specific white person unless I name them. I work very hard to use data and facts. In other words, I am thoughtful. For a different characterization, white people, as an aggregate, need to say and do better things before pollsters, in studies, and before the public.
