Hi Sherry, you gave the proper context for the reactions. There have been some of those moments. But none so large to send a clear message with consistency. It’s like we miss all the big ones and most of the small ones. I’m troubled by the inconsistencies across the states. I did a quick look at data. With respect to lower amounts of police violence, some states are better than others, big time. Several of them are southern states! And 4 states have laws requiring officers to use another means before deadly force. The states should learn from each other. I hate how this feels like 50 countries instead of 50 united states.
