I don’t capitalize the w in white on purpose. Here’s why: race is a white hierarchy. It’s not a horizontal relationship –not by definition or by its function. Whiteness needs to come down, which is why it is lowercase. Equality with whiteness is not the goal because white identity is nothing but oppression.
