I don’t disagree. I would add “equity in empathy” to my point. There are studies that show racist empathy gaps. Feelings, impressions, the ability to see someone as human are all important. Some of that, society and its sectors can create or inhibit. Actions can follow feelings. How do we get to equity? Equity may be the end, but empathy is the means. That works in the reverse too. Before the lack and imbalance with equity existed, there was a lack and imbalance with empathy.
