I don’t think Obama has it in him. His brand and style really is hope and optimism. That’s not always helpful on race and racism. He was damned just for being in the white house so he should’ve just given it to everyone, but again, he doesn’t have it. Michelle, I think has evolved to his brand. More optimistic. But I think she’s holding back. Right now, they could speak more about issues of race and racism now that they are out of office. Michelle calls Trump a misogynist in the book. But not a racist? Huh? I am not so much looking back on the Obamas, but I am focused on the now. They both know exactly what’s going on with racism. So, if you are going to talk about it, talk about it.
