I like what you did with lie to vs. lie about. Okay, here’s what I do not understand — if I’m a white liberal in Congress, how can I not know that Republicans are winning by white racism? In that case, I can’t pass legislation because of the red states. Even if I benefit from white racism, why haven’t I thought about a plan to deal with white racism in red states? Not because I hate white racism, but because I want to win for Democrats and pass legislation. The goal must not be to win. Meanwhile, Republicans are coming up with all kinds of schemes. Two years ago on June 1, Ontario passed an antiracism bill that created an antiracism office in government. My understanding is it isn’t perfect, and the next administration gutted it, but that is one effort the US needs. My point is — besides ending voter suppression, besides ending the Electoral College, and besides getting a new constitution, Democrats need to work to end white racism just to win in the red states. They should work to cripple and end the Republican Party and white racism has to top the list.
