I really appreciate the personal part you added to this piece. And certainly, this is a subject that needs focus. This reminds me of an article I read that basically said the positive stories are amplified so much that young people think their local communities are safe and they are not. It’s very disturbing. And the isolation is real. This post made me want to reach out to my long distance friends which I will do now.
