I thought I would get through today without a single troll comment. In 12 hours, I’ve received exhilarating feedback and infuriating feedback. And the stretch of the extremes hurts and maddens me. I must go on, but I’ve doubled down on positive feedback. I want that to count for people feeling the extremes. In fact, I do not leave negative feedback, ever. I don’t see the point online. But god knows it is a full-time job to respond to negative comments or comments from trolls. I may quit that job without notice. Because the more we have out there, the more territory there is to defend. Am I supposed to stand by to defend 100+ stories and more growing, for all time? I must rethink my strategy.
