Interesting, Don. I was going to add predatory capitalism and patriarchy as forms of oppression that target white people. However, those systems target many racial groups and they create greater disparities in communities of color. What you describe sounds like a specific tool and tactic of capitalism to use racism as a wedge by rich whites against a segment of white people. Oppression does hit people differently by class and various factors. But the overall systems of capitalism and patriarchy were not designed to target and work against all white people in general. That’s sort of what I mean. White people in the middle and upper classes also believe these lies, college students too. “Reverse racism” is also that lie. I have a draft about capitalism and racism.
