Look, I’ll just say some gay men of color read that book and said it was about and for white gay men. Which clearly would be even more segmented to some white gay men.

This is a problem if the book is being held up as a standard and a solution, particularly as many gay communities still contend with visibility and race issues.

Personally, I think it’s fair to say it has some good points and concepts and it also speaks from a limited point of view.

All in all, I think it’s worth a read and I very much appreciate your point.
