Love all the references in this piece! I have two dogs, both needy. But one goes out and does the business. She’s motivated by doing the work. And she lets me know when it’s time for her to work. The other one wants a treat just for stepping outside and doing nothing! It’s like I’m always in potty training mode and housebreaking with her and all she wants is a treat. Whereas, I just need her to stop making messes I have to clean. Sadly, people are the same, even though they should know better. I’m going with less treats and more discipline and correction with people and pets. Thank you.
