I don’t know about Kwanzaa dying. It is so alive in me.

And you know a lot of things, especially societies, have messed up origins.

We should identify and deal with the effects of those origins.

But, bad origins doesn’t mean a bad future.

Messed up, or messy, beginnings do not make for a meaningless forever.

Even the messy1s can be redeemed, no?

Is that something we can agree on and put our hands together for?

Today’s principle is about self-determination. We define ourselves. Myself, I don’t define Kwanzaa the way you do.
