Mm, the diaspora is a complicated family with opinions on all sides. And, oppression has strangled many parts of the family. It is something that the ones who shred family bonds want to talk about broken families. It’s vital to see the tentacles of racism. I am 40, and the first in my family born with no link to overt Jim Crow at the state and federal level. That’s the awareness step. An awareness of proximity and the current reality. But from awareness, then we need remedies and reconciliation. Thanks for reading and for your response.
