I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this in my stories, but I went to Australia twice in 2002. I expected racism given the experiences of the Aboriginals and Asian communities.

But, a group of younger locals told me people would see me as an American.

My other thoughts while writing this were around language, technology, and exploitative industries.
