No. I do not hate “white” people. I am not a racist. Racism is a system and a sentiment that establishes a racial hierarchy of superiority and inferiority on a biological basis to confer advantages and disadvantages. Interpersonally, in thought and deed, it can include bias, prejudice, and discrimination. I oppose social constructs of superiority and inferiority. I do not say or believe “white” people are either superior or inferior. No. “White” is a construct of superiority with clear advantages in the world. “White” America exists in its position based on legalized oppression, formal and informal practices and policies, and unjust intergenerational enrichment at the expense of Black and Brown people that America has not remedied and repaired. In addition to reparations and a complete overhaul of U.S. systems, I think “white” people should call themselves something else. Why haven’t they? “White” is a lie. It was invented to oppress. When we look at polling data and viewpoint surveys, there is a gap between what Black people and People of Color think versus what “white” people think on race and racism. So, besides a name change, there is little to no evidence that “white” people have altered the meaning of “white” in America. That is a problem I am very much anti and oppose. “White” has to end as a concept and a construct of superiority with advantages. Practically, this means in society “white” people have to come down and Black people and People of Color must rise. That is how we meet in the middle. That’s where we find humanity. Okay, asked and answered.
