So much heart and substance in this post. I had some of those mmm and emotional groans while reading. Gosh, I think public transit is a social justice issue. And, it delineates city from rural, north from south, and east from west. I sold my car a few years back. I was torn. I like the freedom, hate the cost/maintenance/insurance/tolls. I sold it as a protest. But I didn’t expect to become locked inside. I’ve become a passenger in life, my partner drives everything. I’m ready to take control, but dammit, I will not pay tolls! Ha. Okay, I guess tolls are a part of life and driving in some places. But they still suck! (raises a shaking fist)
