Thank you Darren Stehle 🙏. I grew up in church. I wanted to be a missionary. I went to a Christian college for a bit and studied church music. I was a lay minister for two years with counseling and preaching duties. Before I came out as gay, I was one course away from being certified as a minister by a denomination.

My dad’s favorite nicknames for me were pastor and preacher. I can’t change who I am, haha.

I like the quote that says, “writing is preaching by hand.”
