Thank you Sherry for responding. I was emotionally exhausted after this piece. The day before I wrote about empathy for straight white men. Now, I feel like I’ve been all over the place. It was empathy one day, anger the next, and everything is a mess.

It does suck. One challenge I face as I get older is I understand these issues better. But, I don’t want to break or burst. The reality can be overwhelming. And, I suppose that requires some acknowledgment too.
