Thanks, Fleet. This is a hard message. Friendship can be intimate & dangerous. And it requires trust which is hard given our history and the present. Segregation can support Black people/POC like a buffer against racism. But segregation also continues racism. I think a great many of our issues with race, racism, and relations persist because we aren’t connected. Relationships and friendships can make a difference. This is proven by our lives, social science, and with other aspects of identity and groups. Thanks for your comment.
