That makes sense. I feel like I’ve also heard people talk about dying and fighting. I’m talking about near-death experiences and someone later says the person “stopped fighting it” and allowed themselves to die. I also just watched a filmed about Reconstruction. One of the speakers mentioned a feeling of “hope and militancy” in the Black community. I like that — hope and militancy, and also hope in militancy. People want a fighter. Every political side wants a fighter. Just having a fighter gives people some hope. Thanks for reading and responding!
