That playbook of oppression is made by cutting and pasting. Like, they just did a control-F and replaced! Honestly, I don’t remember hearing about straight parades/pride. Somehow, it really registered this year. It hits me, a Black Gay man, like a collision at the intersection of white lives matter and the national association for the advancement of white people. This week, I read in a book the term, “sexual-orientation blindness.” I had never heard of that either. Again, the playbook is cut, paste, recycle, and repeat. So, I’m going to raise the G in Gay because that’s in my playbook!
