That’s it! Everything you said! I want people to read your comment! In terms of what whiteness does to people psychologically, I can say citizenship and my blue passport with the eagle has made me feel something psychologically. I’ve felt a range of emotions, including guilt. And now, I realize the deep connections between nation/race/citizenship. On being white, yes, the identity itself is the problem. It’s made to be that way. But being white isn’t any individual person’s fault. I don’t write that enough… I’m not trying to guilt people. I aim to break white solidarity. I don’t look at my partner and think being white/d is his fault. White, as an imposed social status, is not a shackle that an individual can shake off. There are personal choices, and they matter, but race is what society, the state, the nation does. It’s a system. That’s why I mention colonization. Racialization, race, is still a way to colonize people. I’m on the side of abolishing white identity, emancipating people, and getting justice by ending disparities. I will continue to write about it, and I greatly appreciate your support!
