The problem with Pete for America is that Pete isn’t qualified. The problem with Pete for America is that he’s here by unqualified privilege. He is an unqualified hoax. And the goal is to end the privilege, not just awareness. To be specific, privilege, in this case, means he needs to step aside. However, he’s not the only one. I need to be clear about that — he’s not the only one. But even among the privileged, he’s among the least qualifed. His not being qualified makes it worse! I don’t care that he could be lying. I don’t care about his motivations. I care that he’s not qualified and he’s here by privilege. That’s it. That’s all the evidence that’s necessary to impeach and remove his candidacy. Overall, I need the 90% of elected leaders being white and 65% of them being male to end. That means even if Pete had the qualifications, even if his track record had a brilliant glow, he’s still not acceptable because he adds to those numbers. And again, he’s not alone. He’s just in my face.
