This is the problem — I think, talk, and season food the way I write too, haha. I’m glad you mentioned the disease and culture parts. After I published, I found this quote in an article about the N.F.L. and the annual Cowboys and “Indians” game: “European invaders often referred to as “pilgrims” or “settlers.” (It violates a fundamental law of time and space to refer to an invader as a “settler” or “pilgrim.” You must first invade before you can settle.)” We also have the term “settler-colonialism” which also doesn’t say it right for me. Above all, “tame the continent” really burns me! Thanks for reading and responding.
