To answer your question — yes. Stereotypes are often engineered by industries, racism, and segregation. And you discount and shortchange entirely the role of the industry, capitalism, and pay gaps. Fix all of those! This responsibility belongs to the industry that created and sustains this problem. Consumers should not have to make up the difference by supporting exploitation. The industry must fix these problems. That’s the best protection for workers and customers.
