To shame us. That’s it. That’s the word. I had this thought in my mind while writing this, “how did being a victim become such a negative thing?” I know psychology has moved to that which probably aides this. I also know people speak of survivors rather than victims in certain tragedies or abuses. But it seems like justice is concerned with the language of victim. Maybe I am missing something. But the shame part is a deflection and a projection, it seems to me. Thanks for your response!
