Well, I appreciate this. I come from an evangelical background and a mix of a few others. Personally, I’ve shifted from looking at the Bible as purely devotional and laws to more of a social justice document. That wasn’t in my churches or my personal faith before. White evangelicals also have different challenges connecting to some social justice issues than other faiths and denominational groupings. And some of these challenges have been in the works for a long time.
