Well, I mention how personal responsibility still applies. And it should be noted that I’m talking about the system of whiteness and superiority that plays out at an individual and institutional level. And, Blackness is made in America. As I say, racism is indivisible from the Black experience. Technically, history says we haven’t been “free” as long as we were institutionally oppressed. Right? Science tells us, just as they say about separating families at the border, that generational trauma applies. Science also says mental and physical health disparities come from racism. And the perception that you are stereotyped can make you act a certain way. So, that all being the case, per history and science, and not my opinion alone, it is a saddening and maddening waste of evaporating time to look for faults inherent to the Black community, when we have heaps and heaps of history staring us dead in the face with the big and flashing name of Racism. And, every day the heaps grow and grow.
