Well, I would suggest the church should be, and was intended to be, a social justice camp. And, when it is not, we should expect issues as you’ve outlined.
To put it another way — any faith community not centered on social justice needs to repent.
And that justice must be ever expanding and rolling. It must be inhospitable to injustice. It must find any remnants of injustice utterly intolerable.
Thankfully, not all churches are the same, or have the same opinions about procreation, the others you mentioned, and what’s considered reprehensible.
But we have to work and challenge faith communities to focus on social justice. To be and do otherwise must be considered reprehensible. That’s what I expect.
