Whew, this piece wrecked me emotionally. I just had to move on from it to the next ones.

I wonder if I can find the truth in the middle. The system is working and it’s broken.

Because, the system of white supremacy is working. It’s not 100%, but it is very effective. Everything we see is a consequence of that system.

And yet, it is broken in a moral sense. So, it must be fixed. Even if by fixed we mean to neuter it. I don’t see it as irreparable, but it’s definitely twisted.

The “working” part is a form of acknowledgment and the “broken” part requires action.

I guess I’m saying we can fix something that’s working.
