Wow, Violet DeTorres, I really appreciated the video. It was captivating and inspiring. While at the same time his voice was soothing.

I appreciate that you make and share these connections too. I very much want people to see and make these connections from the stories I share.

Even though I write from my experience as a Black person, much of my as a Black person experience is applicable and relevant.

I am thinking to add a little footnote to my future stories about race to say something like that explicitly.

Something to say, I start from this reference point of Blackness, but please know I see these issues beyond Blackness, and please apply and interpret them accordingly.
