Yes, I guess my main point is the constitution was not built from an antiracist framework. Not to say that’s the only framework at all. Not to say that change would correct longstanding issues with race and racism. But many activities white supremacists are allowed to do in the name of freedom should not be. I would much rather hear an obscenity on TV than dog whistles and clear calls to racism. I think as people focus on policies and laws, to consider whether they are racist or create disparities, we should look at these freedoms too.
